"Livre d'Or" comments on our stay in Dauphin
We have just concluded nine wonderful weeks in Gite L’Olivier and couldn’t be happier with our choice of destination. The Sugiers have gone above and beyond in their welcome to us and their attention to our needs. We have very much appreciated their hospitality and friendship. The village of Dauphin is very conveniently located within Provence and we have found it very easy to access all the many and varied attractions and walks.
Whilst here we have visited and can recommend:
Avignon, Pont du Gard, Nimes, Marseille, Aix-en –Provence, Manosque, Cassis, Le Ciotat, Moustiers St Marie and Gorges du Verdon (the Pedalo is great fun!), Castellane, Rousillon, Gordes and many other pretty villages in the region. Do not miss the Forcalquier market on Mondays!
We have absolutely loved the walks we have taken and would suggest that you try the following:
Foret de Pelisier and St Martin les Eaux –both close by
Colorado, Montagne de Lure, Prieure de Carluc , Le Belvedere de Bellevue ( Volx), Les Mourres ( Forcalquier), Le Chemin des Eveques (Lurs), Le foret du Prieure de Ganagobie, Les Penitents des Mees, Circuit du plan des Agas and Circuit de Piegros (Vitrolles), The ‘Vigneron’ walk at Pierrevert and The Alps ( we found a great walk at Gioberney not far from La Chapelle en Valgaudemar).
Above all we have enjoyed the quietness and tranquillity of our location and have had a very relaxing holiday. Thank you to the Sugier family for providing us with this opportunity and for their kindness.
