Back to school !!

Week 13 Provence

Hello Mr Day and 4/5 S

I have had one week of school here at France. It’s very different! First there is no school uniform, we get Wednesday off so it is only four days a week, we can go home for lunch, they still use slates for Maths and the writing is very hard to understand particularly the “r”s and “t”s. The teacher’s name is Melanie and she is very nice. She speaks French but sometimes speaks to me in English.

The owner of the place where we are staying is a beekeeper and makes honey so we went to his work one day and saw how honey was made.

Last night we went and saw a music concert. One man was really funny. He played the Double Bass. And a lady was working really hard, her face was all red. She played the Clarinet.

When we go up the hill to school, there is a place where two dogs are. One is a Chihuahua and the other is a golden retriever. They are very nice dogs and I have become good friends with them. There is also a pug which is quite ugly.

Yesterday we went to the beach. It was very small and the sand space was only 20 metres. I think the beaches in Australia are better.

Goodbye.
